Overview
We’ll pick you up wherever you are staying in Lisbon at 9:00 am and take the road to Tomar.
The Convent of Christ was founded by the Order of Templar Knights (Templários) in 1118 and took almost 4 centuries to be complete. It was one of the most important defensive buildings during the battles with the Moors and mixes the most interesting architectural styles of the medieval era.
After visiting the all monument and the sorrounding park, we’ll enjoy lunch at the most typical restaurant in the area! The name of the restaurant? That’s our little secret …
Fátima is the place where in 1917 three young cousins witnessed the apparition of what they later assumed was the Virgin Mary. Since then, the region of Fátima continued to be a destination of pilgrims. Here you get to know the small chapel, the Capelinha das Aparições (Chapel of the Apparitions), and the two Basilics (Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima (1954) and Santissima Trindade (2007))
Then you can relax or have a nice rest in the car during the ride back to your place.
