We will take the road to Azeitão passing through the Vasco da Gama bridge, the longest in all of Europe! In Azeitão we will visit one of the several wineries and taste different kinds of wine produced here, namely the famous Moscatel, a sweet wine from the region. Then we will have a Torta de Azeitão, an amazing sweet and try the local cheese which has a mix of sour and salty and a very soft consistency... delicious to be more precise! Anda a litle secret delicious specialty will be also on the menu... we'll talk about this later. Natural Park of Arrábida is the perfect place to have a little easy trekking and a photo session. In Arrábida we can also plan a visit to the 16th century Monastery which was founded in 1542 by a Franciscan which was looking for a place to be close to God. He found it here! (*Note that this visit has to be planned some days in advance and may cause changes on the general program of this tour) Now it's time to enjoy lunch in Setúbal at one of the most typical fish restaurants in the area! In Palmela we'll visit the magnificent castle, which is located up hill in Arrábida. This place is full of history since the romans. Finally we'll have a short stop at the Cristo Rei (Christ the King) Sanctuary where you may enjoy the view over Lisbon and take some photos 133 meters above the sea level. Yes, don’t worry, there’s a lift to take us up and down!
